Kelly Vates
Executive Director
Kelly is the Cofounder and Executive Director of Fair Haven Rape Crisis Center. She is a Survivor, Thrivor & Overcomer of sexual violence and exploitation.
Kelly is a recovery vetern, visionary, published author & national presentor on sexual trauma. She has a passion for people as well as dogs and is a Certified TDI Handler for Fair Haven’s Certified Therapy Dog- Aspen.
Kelly has a strong background in both management, entrepreneurship and serves her Heavenly Father with her whole heart.

Becky Alvarez
Operations Manager
Becky started with Fair Haven in March of 2019.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Purdue and her MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.
Becky loves working with people and problem solving. Outside of work, she enjoys all things outdoors, watching her kids play sports, and dancing in the kitchen.

Shana Robertson
Education & Outreach Coordinator
Shana Robertson is Fair Haven’s Education and Outreach Coordinator who works towards eradicating sexual violence in the community through prevention and education.
Shana has a bachelor of liberal arts and social sciences and has received an Outstanding Service Award by the Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault for her prevention work.
Shana sees the beauty in all things, serves the Lord with with her whole heart and spreads whimsical fun wherever she can.

Becca Emerson
Direct Services Coordinator
Becca has been a part of Fair Haven since 2015. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Human Development and Family Studies from Purdue Northwest in 2016. She enjoys long drives with loud music, playing with her pups, and a good pepperoni pizza.

Sylvia Velazquez
Assistant DS Coordinator
Sylvia grew up in Chicago and has earned an Associates in Criminal Justice Degree from Purdue Northwest. Sylvia enjoys eating a good deep dish pizza and is an advid dog lover. She has really enjoyed working at Fair Haven and helping survivors on their road to recovery.

Aspen
Our Support Animal
Working at Fair Haven since she was just 9 weeks old, Aspen has grown into a beautiful four-year-old Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever weighing 93 pounds. She shares an office space with her handler and our Executive Director, Kelly Vates. When they are not working with clients, they are out in the community spreading awareness and educating others of the long term effects of sexual abuse.
